Some things on my mind..

I was going to do this long ass post about new year's resolutions and blah blah blah. The main thing I resolve to do with my time on Vu is move different. There is this person who has taken to harassing me ever so often because of whose feeds I follow. This person seems to thrive on self-made drama and loves to brag about hacking and trolling their Vu enemies. I've never seen anything like it. This person actually takes the time to go through the followers lists of their Vu enemies, then proceeds to harass those individuals for following their enemies. I have noted that if you respond to this person with the same energy they give you, this is what happens:

*this person will say you're mad over and over then tell you to get over it

*this person will tell you you have no life, broke, with no job in rl over and over

*this person will claim you have mental issues

*this person will screenshot any interactions with you, post the screenshots on their feed, and then spin the narrative so that it looks like you're the one harassing them

* this person will do all of the above in a long ass, spammy ass paragraph full of emojis on your feed

Who has the time for all of that? Especially one who swears they are not pressed over Vu stuff. I cannot deal with "men" who thinks its ok to harass and bully women this way. It boggles the mind. I refuse to give my energy to that. And the fact that this person follows and frequently comments on the feeds of people I heavily fuck with just makes me shake my head. Every time I see this person's name I have a knee-jerk reaction to roll my eyes.

I still want to have my Ebonettes Social Club... but the way Vu is set up there's no way I can verify the women who join are actually Black without adding rl pics into the verification process. That seems too intrusive to me. So what I have decided to do instead is to put together rooms that are Black women centered. There is great Black woman imagery in the catalog that I can incorporate into my rooms and make them available to the public. I firmly believe that representation matters, even to the grown folks. To me it seems like a lot of people want to appear exotical or other. Some call it self-hate, and honestly I lean towards that thought, but at the same time who really knows why some create the types of avis they have? If you're comfortable in my rooms, great. If not that just means they aren't for you and that's ok too.

The hardest part is going to be amassing all the art I'm going to need. Then figuring out what other types of rooms I want to curate. I have a sip and paint room that I think is just gorgeous. I also have a make-up room that is close to reaching 10,000 visits (pretty cool). Now I just need to brainstorm other room themes.
